VaultZero is a personal document and records organizer — insurance, assets, loans, documents, reminders, and passwords — built with privacy as the core design principle.
All records you create — insurance policies, assets, loans, documents, reminders, passwords, and any scanned images — are stored encrypted, locally, only on your device. VaultZero has no account system and no server that your data is sent to.
When you scan a document, text extraction (OCR) happens entirely on your device using on-device machine learning. Scanned images and extracted text never leave your device.
Reminders (e.g. policy renewals, due dates) are scheduled locally on your device. No reminder data is sent to any server.
VaultZero includes an in-progress optional backup feature to Microsoft OneDrive, under your own Microsoft account. This feature is not yet functional in the current version of the app — no backup data is transmitted anywhere today. If and when this feature becomes active, this policy will be updated first to describe exactly what is backed up (which will be encrypted before it ever leaves your device) and how to opt out.
VaultZero is not directed at children. Since the app does not collect any data, this applies regardless of the user's age.
If this policy changes — most notably when the OneDrive backup feature becomes active — the updated version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
